so having since arriving in darwin i can quite literally say that it has in fact been one long party, not a night goes by without sharing a jug of beer and a bottle or 2 of sparkling wine before going out to the bars and partying until the sun comes up!! wiiillldddd!! haha today we book our tours that we want to do and as far as i know for now we are going to litchfield national park where we get to see jumping crocs and take a boat down the river which should have some brilliant photo opportunities. and we are looking at booking a 6day trip which goes from darwin down to alice springs where we get to see ayers rock and loads more sights before flying out to perth in the end of june. i never realised how expensive everything was going to be out here and i feel my 3 months wages will soon run out which is annoying.
darwin is so warm its gorgeous, 30 degrees everyday and sunny, its the dry season so its not too humid either! its a definate plus when you spend all day in a bikini chilling on a gorgeous beach with no more than 25 other people, its amazing. and then going out in the evening and its still warm!!
last night we went to mindil beach to watch the sunset - which was absol
market where they had a man playing the didgeridoo and a huuuggeeee market with hundreds of different food stalls and local handmade crafts. i even tried a crocodile kebab and i swear to you it tastes of rubbery chicken.. although im sure everyone could have guessed what it would taste of!
so tonight is pierres last night before he flys to adelaide to look for work as jobs are extremely scarce in darwin and every backpacker seems to be looking for work!! so this sounds like the perfect excuse to drink some beer and have a party yesyes?! haha
