We arrived in Sydney, and headed straight for Kingscross! We stayed in a hostel called 'The Jollyswagman'. We had a TV in our room, so I was happy because I got to watch episodes of Home & Away and Neighbours! But to our horror me and Andy were not the only ones in our room! We also shared our room, and the whole hostel with some lovely little coackroaches- it was vile! One morning I was eating my breakfast, and I looked round and one of them was sitting right next to me- yuk! Also if you sat on the patio outside the hostel you got to watch the rats scurrying about- GROSS!
Apart from that we did have fun in Sydney, we went to Bondi beach, and Manley beach, did a bit of shopping and climbed the Bridge which was great!
We were in Sydney for a week, and then we picked up our Van and headed for the blue mountains. We arrived there in our shorts and T-shirts, and very quickly put on every other bit of clothing that we had with us! It was so cold, and that first in the van was freezing! When we woke up in the morning though, we relised that Andy had left the drivers side window open all night- what a doughnut!
We only spent one night at the blue mountains then we went to Summerbay! When we got there they were just packing up after filming, so we didint see any filming but it was still very exciting!
We got back in our little bus and headed for the Hunter Valley! We went round the Vineyards and shops, bought some nice cheese and wine, and then spent the afternoon eating all the cheese and drinking all the wine, it was great!
After all those vineyards though we were missing the beach, so we went back to the coast to do a bit more sunbathing. One of the ozzy's we meet in Vegas, Brent, gave us a list of beaches, so went and visited all of them! Most of the time we would be the only ones there.
At this point though we realised that the battery on the Van was broken, and we had to spend a night in the most backwards town eva while we waited to get a new one. At the campsite we stayed at we were the only guests, the rest of the poeple lived there, and this one guy spoke to us who had no teeth- it was a bit scary, so once the van was fixed we got the hell out of there and headed for Byron Bay!
On the way we stopped a Koala World and we got to feed Kangeroos and stroke a Koala bear, it was pretty cool. When we arrived a Byron Bay I decided that I was gonna try a bit of surfing, so I booked myself a lesson, it was the most fun eva, I absolutely loved it! Andy didnt do the surf lesson, but I let him watch me : )
Since then we have been to Australia Zoo, which was really good fun, we got to watch the Crocodile be fed and people feedings tigers and stuff- it was cool!
And then this morning we got up really early and went down to Tin Can Bay where we got to hand feed a wild dolphin, it was really good (and free!!!). Now we are in Hervey bay and tomorrow we are going to Fraser Island for three days to mince about in a 4x4, should be fun.
