We had the most amazing week in Fiji, we started off with a day on the main Island, but as the Hotel we were at had a pool, we just spent the whole day sitting by that! It was great.
The next day we headed off to Coral View resort on Tavewa Island, it took just over 4 hours on a boat to get there, on the way there we saw some dolphins jumping right up out of the water, it was amazing!
When we got there the accomodation was very basic, we stayed in a hut with a bed in it, the electricity was only on for a few hours a day, there were no telephones, no TV's and definatly no hot water!! Also I was allergic to the insect bite so I started to get massive red blobs all over my legs- yuk! None of this mattered though as Fiji is so beautiful, and all there is to do is go snorkling or sit in a hamock, you just cant help but have a great time : ) We stayed at coral view for 2 days and then headed off to Manta Ray Resort.
We stayed at Manta Ray for just one night. When we got there I found a cat under the bed- how random! Andy tried to stroke it but it didnt seem very freindly! Also while we were at Manta Ray we actually went snokelling and saw a Manta Ray! It was very cool.
After that we went to another Island called Kuata, once again the beach was beautiful, but the accomadation had taken a turn for the worse! We had so many bugs in the room it was gross, you could evan see little flees hoping around on the bed- ewww. While on the Island we did some Kyaking and a sumit walk to watch the sunset, followed by lots more sunbathing and relaxing : )
Our final night we spent on Bounty Island, which was home to Celebrity Love Island! They still had the swimming pool from the show, it was tiny, it looked much bigger on TV! We also had a look around the Love Shack, which was just a complete mess now!
We spent the last day on a sail boat, we visited a little village, had a BBQ on the boat, and then went and had a sunbathe on the the Island that the film Castaway was filmed at- very nice!
We meet loads of really nice people in Fiji, when I was suffering from mega amounts of insect bites at Coral View, an American couple we met called Rob and Robyn gave me some medicine, which was so kind of them! Also we spent a lot of the week hanging around with three girls called Tori, Alice and Sarah, who were on the same tour as us, it was such a great week : )
