Day 24 - Up at 4am to taxi to Washington Dulles airport got our 7am flight. The airport is really flash and we caught a train after security to our boarding gate. Had breakfast, then flew two hours to Chicago which was blanketed in snow, Connor was happy to see the Sears building ( now called the Willis tower). Transferred straight over to our flight to Las Vegas, and 3 and a half hours later we were there. The airport was close and it was a balmy 48 degrees. The kids were in awe of the buildings-especially the New York, New York hotel with its own rollercoaster. Las Vegas is certainly a glitzy, overindulging sight in the middle of the desert, can see why people come for entertainment. We are staying at the Excalibur and we walked through what seemed like miles of shiny, chiming poker machines. Weird to see people smoking inside and a little gross. It's all sell, sell, deals everyone competing to sell shows. We got two for one tickets for both tonight and tomorrow. Went for a walk down the strip and through a few hotels. Kids did a little shopping but its mainly high end shops down the strip. We were very tired today. Went out for dinner show "The Tournament of Kings" was a tasty meal of roast chicken, eaten with our hands and a fun interactive show, much like medieval times. Home by 8pm and straight to bed.
