Day 10-Went out early with Mike for a run, it was a little wet but not that cold. We left at 10, went over the San Rafael Richmond bridge to Berkeley. We stopped off at the North face outlet on the way and picked up some bargains. Arrived at the University and had a good walk around, its an amazing place, beautiful buildings and so big. It has a good reputation here as one of the best universities. Visited the uni shop and the kids and Mike got UC Berkeley gear. Walked down Telegraph street, perused the market, its a diverse and eclectic place with lots to see, has a real liberal feel. Had the most loveliest burrito EVER before heading back to the uni for 2pm kickoff, the CA bears v Prairie View UVA, tickets Gavin had organised for us all. It was fantastic! The usher at the game suggested we go down to the front row as they werent filled up so we sat right on the sideline! Mike was in heaven! What an awesome spectacle of american college sports, from the brass band, cheerleaders through to the playing of the national anthem and the parochial crowd getting behind their home team. The athletes were huge, so tall and outstanding. Gavin took us through San Francisco on the way home, over the Bay Bridge, through to the pier and Fishermans Wharf. We had lots of leftovers in the fridge for dinner - an exciting day!
