Where are Millie and Helen today then?
So after saying goodbye to Dean, and wondering around Cairns slightly dazed from not getting much sleep on the night bus we booked the first tour we saw to Cape Tribulation and went to bed! I slept for an hour and millie slept for 6 so i walked around cairns city centre and esplanade (walk along the bay) to the marina and lagoon. All very nice. We went out for tea and had barramundi, which was lovely.
Got up early the next day (Friday) for our tour to Cape Tribluation. First stop was a wildlife reserve where we saw, crocodiles, kangaroos and snakes! Then on a walk around the rainforest before arriving at our accomaodation for the night at lunchtime. Had a walk up to Cape Tribulation along another pure white sandy beach! Stayed one night in Cape triblutaion and got picked uo at lunchtime by the tour guide. Who took us on a river cruise on the Daintree river, where we saw crocodiles, snakes, and various birds in the wild and onto Mossman gorge, a freezing cold freshwater stream. We were then dropped off in Port Douglas, a posh man made resort in the tropics. We stayed for 1 night and went to the sunday markets-great for bargains and fresh fruit and veg.
Arrived back in Cairns and then flew out to Darwin on Monday evening, had a six hour wait at Darwin airport so got the shuttle bus into the town centre and ended up at a good old irish pub!
