Apologies for the lack of blogs, with three weeks to cover a few thousand kilometres and enjoy every step of the way we chose to sacrifice the time needed in a Internet cafe to blog!
Anyhow we're now in Sydney with just 4 days of Australia left so let's go back a couple of weeks to where we left off. Adams already given you the run down on Cairns, all I'll say is I went on an expensive snorkelling trip on a really rather nice luxury sunseeker type thing (was really rather luxurious too till 100% of the japs got sea sick in the 26 knot winds, I laughed...), got cold and left Cairns wishing I'd played football with Ads. The reef didn't touch what we'd seen in both Thailand or Malaysia and the same goes for the marine life but being over 2000 kilometres in length I dont think its close to losing its title as the Great Barrier Reef. Snorkelling the GBR and being moderatly dissapointed actually isnt a good reflection on just how amazing it really is but more so shows how spoilt we've been over the last 8 weeks for coral and sea life.
12 hours in a bus brought us down to a little beach in Airlie, the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands, I'll let Adam tell you about these little beauties!!
