We got into Fort Collins early, parked the RV in a neighborhood near Old Town, and headed out on bikes for a day of exploring. There were lots of bike paths around town and it was freakin' hot out, 100 deg by noon. Along the way we checked out 4 breweries and got sampler trays at each: Fort Collins (super modern, great beers), Cooper Smith (beers were not so good), Funkwerks (tasty Saison style beers, I actually preferred their lighter offerings, they were like Stella but more complex and flavorful, perfect match for the hot weather) and Equinox (great offering of beers).
We also came across a "bike library" that rents bikes to anyone for free! Among their selection was a tandem so we locked up our bikes and took off on it. The bike proved to be very difficult to ride but lots of fun.
Finally the combination of biking, heat, sun and beer took it's toll and we ended up passed out in a city park for an undetermined amount of time, ate some pizza and went to bed. You won this round Fort Collins!
