Yesterday we set off by train we thought was to take us to Beaune. The guys had booked at travel agent in Paris. We caught the train to Dijon & when we got off the train & asked someone about our connecting train to Beaune we were informed it was a bus. Saturday we had an early start after deciding to head back to Versaille to see the fountains in action at the chateaux. They only operate at certain times on certain days. After deciding we could walk a few km's around to the back entrance to save the admission cost (we left from this gate on Thurs) we found out we would have to pay anyway as it was the weekend! We had a fairly low key day today. Stelle stayed the night & we went to her village to see where she has been living the past 3 mths. A very quaint village with a chateau as seen in the photos. Yesterday we again did the hop on hop off bus around Paris. We've now had a good look at the different areas & worked out which areas we could live in! We met up with Estelle after she had collected Aurore from school & she took us to a famous ice-cream store. YUM, will be returning before we leave. Yesterday we went to Montmarte. Quite a quirky little area which has lots of art & the famous basilique du sacre-coeur. We went with Estelle, climbing the cobbled streets & admiring the views of Paris. Lunch was at a quaint little restaurant in the area. In the afternoon we went walking & ended up under the Eiffel Tower. Even though we saw it eleven years ago I don't recall it being soooo big. We plan to go back for an evening of dining there.
