Today we went on a trolley tour around DC, very interesting. Lincoln Memorial was pretty special and we got to see a lot of things we wouldn't normally have picked up upon. Don't usually like doing these sort of things but have found it good in terms of orientation in US. Happened upon the Museum of the American Indian almost by accident too - fantastic building, sort of Frank Lloyd-Wright meets Gaudi and some really interesting content. Some pictures in the photos section if interested.
Also went to National Air and Space Museum - some great exhibits, including the Wright Brothers' plane, Apollo 11, a somewhat underwhelming piece of moon rock and part of Saturn 5 that got me thinking about Tom Hingley and Inspiral Carpets. Was impressed to see George Cayley, an important person in the history of University of Westminster had a section to himself in the Wright Brothers' section. Capitol tomorrow, then off to Virginia Beach...
