Today was a fun one! We had to be checked out of base hostel by 10am so we had a little lie in then went about packing up and checking out.
Big bags loaded onto our back we headed to our new hostel which was about a 10 minute walk away so not too bad. However I learnt that when you stumble with a backpack on your back... It really gives you momentum to fall!
We couldn't check in right away so we waited at a cafe for Laura's cousin Rachel to arrive. We had a natter and then decided that our plan for today would include a trip to manly.
After checking in to the hostel we grabbed the free shuttle to the ferry then off to manly. We say there for a good while discussing why the ferry was so ridiculously busy before realise info that the royal family (will and Kate) were on their manly leg of their tour. We decided being British we should go take a look. After a long long wait (terrible time keeping they have) we managed to catch a glimpse of them ... And take some poor quality photos of them through the fields of arms attempting the same!
We carried on with out original plan which was I meet Rachel's friends... Once we did so we all grabbed a "moo shake" and enjoyed them on the beach. Tomorrow was meant to be hot so we arranged to meet again for a BBQ with their larger group of friends.
We decided to eat dinner in many as the ferry back was heaving by early evening... The other girls treated themselves to steak and a surf and turf for $27... Slightly out of my price range but I managed to get an awesome steak sandwich for $12.50... Still a treat and quenched my craving for red meat!
After a short ferry ride we arrived back at circular quay and trained it back to the hostel... Didn't fancy walking alone in the dark.
We had an early night as we were all so tired, but tomorrow should be a good day in the sun! :)
