Went on a boat trip along the Blyde river today. It was nice, stunning views. Got lots of scenery photos. Afterwards we went to look at the Blyde Dam. It was pretty impressive, really picturesque.

After dinner today we noticed water pouring out of Bullet (cheetah)'s enclosure. There was a burst water pipe. He probably bit into it. Poor guy's paws were very soggy. He was paddling a little bit. The rangers fixed it though so it was ok.

We went to rescue a crocodile which had wandered too far away from the watering hole. He was about 3 1/2 metres long. A man who works with crocodiles for a living came and tranquilized him using a long pole with the needle on the end. We all gathered around to watch. He assured us that the croc would not run anywhere, but it was still pretty scary to stand around it when it was fully awake. We took the snared leopard to the vet today. The same vet that I am spending 6 weeks with after I leave here. The leopard had to have a tooth removed that it had broken from struggling when it was snared. It was HUGE, an so was the cavity left behind, but they filled that in with essentially dental polyfiller. They also stitched up the awful snare wound. It was pretty interesting!

Lula the squirrel opened her eyes today! (the picture doesn't show this cause she always closes her eyes when she eats)
