Well today was the big day -start of the world cup! We got up n ready n me n graeme went to bank to activate our bank account! Was pretty easy then we just chilled along the harbour, taking in the atmosphere for the big nite ahead. There was people everywhere and all in good spirits! The weather was scorching, chucky even got a bit burnt! Then my friend Catherine from work in kilmarnock moved to Auckland so we met up with her for a bite to eat! Was great to catch...

Headed to auckland today on the bus which took us about 2 hours from hamilton. Got to apartment which was nice and just off the main street. Then took a walk to the sky tower. Chucky decided he wanted to do the sky jump so he got ready and harnessed up for that while me and Graeme went up the sky tower to see the views and as they stopped the jumpers at the viewing level we could also watch chucky! So after a bit it was 30 seconds till the next jumper, then down ...

Today we decided to take a trip up to the coromandel region which has lots of nice wee towns n beaches! Made our way in Doris with Graeme driving and chucky was co pilot, I was demoted to the back seat due to my previous bad co pilotting experiences! Turns out chucky made me look good lol! Stopped in at a wee town Waihi where they have a massive gold mine which was interesting! Took fotos etc then the boys noticed something was going on as they were moving vehicl...

Today we decided to explore Hamilton so we went a walk to the base which is just a big shopping centre down the road from rob and sheenas! Then came back and got Doris ( sheenas car) and drove into the centre of town. Graeme did well at driving although it's not really different as on same side of road over here! Shopped a but, we were looking for some Scotland flags but no shops had any, a woman told us that they had sold out really fast! So will hopefully find ...

Today has no blog entry as it's a day that we lost! Got on flight in LA at 23:40 and arrived in NZ on Monday morning and flight was only 14 hours! Flight was ok but not great! we were flying qantas this time and would say that we wouldn't really recommend them, emirates were better last time! So that was ( or wasnt) Sunday!
