Today we got up early, Skyped home then left to head up to Whitianga, Coromandel. Julie and Jonathan are away to Vietnam on a cycling holiday so we are staying at their beach house! The sun was shining the whole way and it was roasting! A great day and not like Xmas eve at all! lol! Took us about 3 hours to get there, traffic was busy as a lot of people go up for Xmas! so got to beach house and we set up our tree and pressies etc. chilled out then walked into the town and had some lunch, which was yummy! then we headed to the beach for a walk which was really nice and busy as well! walked around then headed back to beach house and emailed a few people!

then we decided to go to the Lost Spring, which is a few hot pools outside that a guy man made a few years ago. It was so warm walking there and we got a tad burnt oops! got to the spa and it wasfull of scottish people! There was a scottish family, a scottish girl worked there and a guy as wel! we got talking to the scottish family who were out on holiday and turned out they were both vets and knew Alan McTaggart, the vet from Dalry and Graeme is good pals with him from rugby, such a small world! so we talked to them for a bit then relaxed in the pools. got a few cocktails and beers and spent about 2.5 hours just chillin out! it was awesome - a bit of a change from xmas eve back home where graeme normally starts his xmas shopping!

got bak to beach house after 7 and had some dinner then watched some xmas films to get us in the mood!
