- Saturday 12th November

Another weekly update! Saturday we got a call from robs dad (jonathan) to say his company were looking for a delivery driver if he was interested, so we had a talk and decided it would be great! Doesnt look like either of us will get jobs in mount maunganui, it's too quiet the now! So we are relocating to Hamilton the middle of the week! Saturday was bonfire night but the fireworks were cancelled due to a wildlife centre being nearby, and due to the oil spill it was pretty full and they didn't think it would be fair on the birds, so we stayed in and watched some films while looking at a few fireworks occasionally outside! Sunday was also a day of rest ( as someone once said) so we just chilled out! Monday was our last day in the mount which was sad as we had really liked it there, but might return at some point! So we checked out our cabin and decided to walk up the mount for the last time. As much as i love climbing up the mount, it was so unfortunate that the way to the summit was shut! Not sure what for but we walked around it instead, was a pretty good walk! Saw a few people helping out with the oil cleaning round the side of the beach. Then we went for lunch in one of the cafes along the front, then spent the afternoon on the beach which was perfect! Not many people around, sunny and so peaceful! Was just great! And a nice way to sound the afternoon before graeme got back into work! Went to Hamilton that night and Graeme started his job on Tuesday. The guy that was delivery driver was leaving on thursday so the first few days he was going round with him, getting his bearings! The first thing he said when he came back was hmmm i think ill get lost! But im sure he'll get used to it, hes quite good at directions etc! So for the rest of the week graeme went out to work and i just applied for jobs, went a run and developed on my driving skills! Doris is an automatic which i had never drove before, but we went out a few nights to practise and im doing ok! Its my right and left i need to work on lol! Graeme was shouting go left and I went right and he was like ure going right and I was like no I'm not etc etc! I'm sure this is a common argument among many couples though so I didn't feel stupid lol! Then Saturday we decided to take a trip up to Auckland as graemes flashy camera was ready to pick up. So we headed up, which took many about 2 hours and got that. Then spent the day in Auckland just going round the shops and generally walking around, although it wasn't very nice as it was raining! Headed back to Hamilton and got some dinner! Had a good week, hopefully I'll find a job soon as getting a bit bored during the day but now I can drive I'll be galavanting everywhere lol!
