An early start today, got ul at 4.30am as our flight to invercargill was at 6am! Flew to Christchurch then invercargill. We were on the plane with our garnock hoodies on n this guy knew Jim hood from garnock as he worked for john Deere! Small world! He was there with a few other people and they had left tues, arrived fri! The plane was delayed at ggow so they missed connecting flight and were 28 hours later than planned! And they had no luggage! Sounded like a disaster so we were glad ours went smooth! Man got outside and invercargill was wet and windy and pretty much like home! Not cool! Got to hotel and put our Scottish attire on again for the game. Just walked to stadium, must have got about 50 peeps on the way! Invercargill is quite a wee Scottish town and it seemed like they were all out to support us! Stadium was a lot smaller than Eden park, half standing half sitting so for me it was just like watching the boys at loch shore! But a slightly bigger audience lol! Game was ok, Scotland didn't play great and was so close near the end! But got two sneaky tries to make us win so that was good and very exciting! Walked into town for a pint then back to hotel as we were feeling rather tired after our 4 hour sleep last nite! Walking back we were talking to a guy who moved over from arran and whos cousin lived in dalry! Then we went down a side street and saw a big rugby bus, goin closer we realised it was the scotland team so saw them go into hotel altho just a few at the end! Back and had a nap then just went for dinner in hotel and went to their bar to watch the england vs argentina game! Oh and spoke to a guy in the bar who worked at a farm eastmains that graeme works at occassionally! Think the guy done sheeping stuff during the season! NZ really hate the English like we do! They were all against them and even in auckland when we were talking to people they said as long as England don't win! also they wore black strips with a red Rose which got the all blacks raging as there obviously meant to be the only team that wears black! but theirs numbers wewre falling off the back of their strips when they were playing so that seemed to cheer everyone up a bitM Unfortunately they won but wasn't a great game! Bed!
