Wednesday
Relaxed day after yesterday which was rather busy.
Today i decided that i was going to undertake my favourite extreme sport - Xtreme Tanning! I was out by that pool at 8.30 with my towels, lotions., sunnies and hat and a book. At 8.31 I was joined by Eva with a selection of goodies, including drawing and feltips. At 8.41 it was too hot so we got in the pool!
Me and the kids spent most of the day in the pool and when it was too hot at lunchtime, we played spongebob connect 4 and generally pottered about.
In the afternoon we did some more xtreme sunbathing and Daryl, Oscar, Lauren, Roen and Orlando went off to explore a nearby town called Celebration, I declined as frankly I could not be bothered to get dressed - how skank is that?
Eva and I had a lovely bathe and swim and fired up the hot tub to settle in for a bit. Unfortunately just as we sat down, I felt a sharp sting on the back and some evil critter had bit me - it was orange and I wrenched it off and despite all things being gods creatures, I killed it without a second thought.
So we settled down again and noticed that the sky had gone a little darker and the trees suddenly started really swooshing in very strong winds and a thunderstorm broke out over head. Eva and I leapt out the hot tub and rushed inside lest we were felled by lightning!
We knew it was bad because the local wildlife, vultures, had gone back to their tree and were no longer circling overhead. We have lots of geckos and gianormous dragonflies which don't really bother us as they cannot get in the meshed enclosure. However, these orange fly things do. I know, it bit me.
Actually we saw something cool yesterday that I have just remembered which was that a plane was doing sky writing. Okay so it was writing 'trust jesus' but it was really really clever!
The 'others' returned from Celebration, Eva and I having painted our nails, done facials and had salad and pasta for tea.
Daryl said it was all clapperboard houses with front porches and picket fences and a 50's feel to it. They stopped at a cafe for dinner and Oscar had meatloaf and mashed potato.
The forecast for tomorrow is for thundery weather, so at the moment we are thinking of going to a beach. However the nearest one is 90 mins drive away which seems ludicrously long when at home we can walk to one in 10 mins but I suppose we need to see whats there.
I am planning on taking in a supermarket tomorrow. There is one called "Publix' (hope that's made you smile Dad,) which we just have to go to.
Like to say missing home, but actually I noted it was raining today in Worthing so actually am quite happy with my sun tan mission and pool time .xx
