This is going to be a very long day. As I write this, we are sitting in Vancouver International Airport. We arrived around 9.00am, too early to even check in for our 18.30 flight.
We enjoyed our final breakfast gazing out at the beautiful Pan Pacific hotel where we stayed in 2004. It is a gloriously sunny and hot day. We have been instructed to wait until our number is called before disembarking the ship. Steve has the brilliant idea of paying our ship's credit with the cash we have left, to save exchanging it when we get home.
I can't believe we have lived next door to Shirley and Richard all week and didn't know.
We lug our heavy cases up the gangway to our awaiting coach and a short drive to the airport. We regretted not having booked another excursion today in Vancouver.
Well, we almost made our own excursion as we found the railway station right next to the airport. However, we decided we had left it too late and returned to the airport slightly disappointed and more than slightly bored.
Our flight home was thankfully, uneventful.

Chris Hickey Bit of a let down after such hectic sigh-seeing. You should have opted for the train. You could have gone there and back just for something to do. R
