Weather - overcast, windy - sun expected. Today we spent the morning walking around the town looking at & going into historic homes, buildings & churches. After lunch, we took the ferry to Dartmouth (about 20 minutes) & waked along the water. Returning to Halifax , we walked up to and toured the Citadel. Weather - overcast, windy & rainy (still). We spent several hours at the art gallery, of note was the paintings and home of Maude Lewis, a Nova Scotian folk artist. Her work is so bright &lively. She is also an inspirational person ! Tonight, we ate "where the locals eat " - Henry House. This historic pub was once the private residence of a former mayor of Halifax!

Okay we had a well deserved sleep last night unfortunately we woke up to a cool, windy and rainy day. We went for a walk along the waterfront ending up at the visitor information center, there was a tour to Peggy's Cove happening so we signed up, turned out we we're the only ones on it, we had Greg our tour guide all to ourselves, he was great filling us in on lots of history and local knowledge. We have arrived in Halifax, the weather is cool, windy and overcast. We are staying at the Waverly Inn which is a wonderful, old historic Inn, since 1876 it has provided accommodation to visitors from around the world, it is full of antiques and old world charm. We had a yummy dinner at McKelvies after which we returned to the Waverly for a good nights sleep. G&T
