On the road at 5:50am. Very cold. Ice on the camper trailer. But we are on holidays so it doesn't matter.
Went well until we went around the big roundabout in Echuca when a wheel came off the trailer! We pulled over and got out the car to have a look - horrified. A guy in a ute pulled up and gave us the wheel and asked if we had any wheel nuts - we didn't. He went and got some for us. There are some good people out there. he made sure we were OK before he drove off. We got the wheel back on and was back on the road. We checked it 1/2 hour later and it was OK.
We had brekky at Macca's in Swan Hill and then went to Manangatang, Hattah and turned off before Mildura, cutting through to Lake Colluleraine.
We stopped on the side of the road for lunch just before the SA boarder and stopped at Renmark briefly. We will have a week in Renmark at some stage - it is a nice area.
We drove to our planned stop - Mt. Bryan. Mt. Bryan has a population of 70. It has wind turbines on a ridge behind and has a lovely little pub. It looks up-market with a nice dining room and the owners and locals are really friendly. They don't have TV reception yet so we set up the camper, cooked tea and went back to Burra to watch the footy (Essendon). It is freezing.

Cheryl That story was priceless. Hope you checked the other wheels while you were at it. Did anyone notice the 2 emus in the corner? Look forward to the next exciting episode.
