We have no concept of time
So the plan was to go to Shoko nightclub last night, but unfortunately it didn´t work out that way since we never have any idea what time it is!!!! Our room doesn´t have a clock and we keep our phones off to avoid roaming charges. Since the clubs here open at 1am and close at ..... 4, 5, 6 ... whenever we figured if we started getting ready at midnight, we would be there no later than 3am. HA!! By the time we were ready to go, we checked the time and it was 5am!!!! What losers we are - who taked 5hours to get ready - seriously!!!! LOL. Anyways, we took a cab to the club anyways and of course they were just closing. We hung around for a while thinking maybe we could meet some really cool people and hang out - we were all done up afterall. We ended up chilling with these 2 guys from France (Derrek & Gial) who didn´t speak much English. Gail had missed his flight home a few hours earlier and just met Derrek, but they were hanging out. They invited us for coffee and offered us a ride back to Las Ramblas at around 8am. Barcelona is really bad for theft!!!!! Derreks car door was bent open and all Gails luggage was gone!! How frustrating especially when you were supposed to be home already and have to stay for another 2 days with no clothes. Anyways we went for coffee and then back to the hotel for sleep.
Since we didn´t want to miss the prime tanning weather at the beach we decided 2 hours sleep was quite enough for us, so we set our alarms and requested a wakeup call. It was rough to wake up 2 hrs later, but we did it and dragged ass to the beach for some more shut eye and tanning. But before so, needed to go have a Cappucino & Salad at a seafood restaurant on Las Ramblas.
We left the beach around 6;30 and went for a few drinks at this really cool "budda" decorated type restaurant on the beach then back home to our Salad restaurant for dinner, where we had to wait a half hour just to be seated.
And by the way, why doesn´t Canada have the kind of food they have here? Everything tastes soooooo real and natural instead of processed and chemically (Is that a word?). I´m afraid the Canadian food just won´t cut it after this trip!
So we´re making the 2nd attept at Shoka tonight so hopefully everything works out.
Ciao for now!

Patti Sounds like quite the adventure! Stay safe and have FUN! xoxoxo
Mike Ferraro Loosing track of time is part of the fun as long as you don't miss your flight, train or bus. So be careful but have fun.
