I woke up pretty early as i had a good night sleep! I went to get my free breakfast at the hostel for 8am and as i was there i got talking to an Italian girl named Anna! She told me that she was going to Universal Studios that day. I didn't have anything planned, i was probably going to head to venice beach as the weather was so good but i decided to go with her to the studios instead (i did ask if it was ok for me to tag along first of course!) i booked my ticket online for 69.99USD, approx 46GBP (2 for 1 day ticket) so you could go back another day with the same ticket. We left our hostel and it only took us about 25 minutes to get to the studios using the metro station and getting the free shuttle. We spent the whole day there from 10 - 5.30pm! I had such a good day, my favourite was the Waterworld show and the Simpsons simulator ride! I think i will definitely go back there again next week if i can with the ticket! It is my first day in LA and i am already enjoying it so i hope there is much more to come!

i couldn't stay any longer at the studios (it closed at 6pm anyway!) as i had to get back to Banana Bungalow hostel to get my bags and then head to my next hostel in downtown LA as i am getting my bus from there to Las Vegas on Tuesday 6th. I said bye to Anna and then made my way to downtown LA after getting my bags! Carrying my huge bag is not fun and it gives it a dead giveaway that i am a traveller! It is pretty heavy so i hope that it gets lighter, sooner rather than later! I arrived at the STAY hostel/hotel! it is really nice and it only cost 28.50USD for the night! I got put in a room with only a bunk bed so i would only have to share with one other! I went to bed quite early as i was tired! (I sound like an old woman but i am not used to all this exercise!) I thought i had the room to myself but another girl came in about 12am and woke me up as i put the latch on! I thought someone was breaking in as there were police sirens and helicopters around outside but it was only her! Phew...back to sleep i went!
