Morning! Its our third day in Luang and it raining!! Yes i know you'll all be pleased as apparently the weather in England isn't great! After we got here on tuesday a big group of us went out to dinner, a couple more english people, couple of canadains and us five. Just a quick note to let everyone know we have arrived in beautiful Laos safely after a very long 2 day boat trip to get here! We left Chaing Mai to get on a minibus where we met another Scott, Alex whose been travelling around Oz for a couple of years, got to Chaing Khong on the border and stayed in a lovely room with a view next to the Makong, but a random toilet with the loo facing the wrong way and the shower over the sink...gave a whole new meaning to brush...

First day trekking meant up amd on an oopen top truck for 9.30am. Afternoon everyone, We're now in Chiang Mai, after an 'interesting' 14 hour overnight train! After Gill wrote yesterday we actually had a pretty mad day! Had a beautiful Thai massage for an hour for about 2 pounds and got pushed into positions that i'm not sure our bodies were ever meant to go, even think i have the odd bruise!
