So it's been a while since the last update which saw us leaving Llangollen on the road to Llandudno. We visited a few castles along the way and also Valle Crucis Abbey, well worth a visit. Eventually we rolled into Llandudno, checked into the hotel, slung the gear and headed out into the great metropolis. So we were up relatively early - Rain was forecast and we got ourselves attired in the Hiking Uniform I mentioned earlier. We decided to head to the Deeside Cafe Bistro, a very nice place next to the Corn Mill. Forgot to mention that last night as we were watching The River Dee flow by outside the Corn Mill, just as it was getting dark, a few adrenaline junkie Kayakers came flying down the rapids. These guys knew what they were doing and what looked like instant ...

So yes, as mentioned, Llangollen is a very nice place - small but action packed. Independent shops thrive and lots of very decent boozers and places to dribble gravy. Our first foray into Sin City took us across the bridge over the Dee and into the aptly named Bridge End Hotel - the weather was dry so a lot of people were sat outside on the benches. We eventually got chatting to some of the local guys and had a general chat - they told us that Llangollen tourism ...

We were all loaded up and ready to roll, we left Moonbase alpha on the dot at 1pm and were back there within 15 minutes when I realised I had the house key and Mrs. Gibbs would need it. So the usual clown show start to the trip...and then were on our way again. we headed over the Brecon Beacons in fine weather. We went though Brecon town and made our way to Talgarth which is on the south eastern border with England. What we were after was the castle Bronllys. one...

It's been a while..so just a quick heads up...we're about to head to North Wales, visiting some castles along the way, A trip to Conwy is planned and even a couple of days in Llandudno. We will head to Llangollen later today, a place I've not been to before, so no doubt there'll be plenty of brothels and casinos to visit. I will of course keep you updated as we move on....Cheers LG.
