Another day spent of the road, on our way to capital city Lima!
Thankfully this was a luxury bus, and I´m pretty sure I got the best seat - upstairs and right at the front. All I could see it the road and views in front of me. We left Trujillo and followed the PanAmerican highway for 9.5 hours to Lima. It was really scenic once we hit the coast, and there was such a neat contrast between the yellow sand mountains (check out the photos, they´d be rad for sliding down), and the blue ocean.
We were also served lunch, and, for the first time, there was a toilet on board. no more dehydrating ourselves so we could make it the whole way without needing to pee! I must admit though, using the toilet on a bus that´s driven by a mad Peruvian man is pretty difficult. I felt like I was on a toilet style ride at a theme park. You´ll be happy to know that my aim was spot on, no mess at all.
Once we arrived in Lima, we walked around the main plaza for a bit, had chinese for dinner that our asian friends said was s***e, but I liked it, and then went to bed. We are staying right in the centre of Lima in a hotel called Kamana, it´s pretty nice.
Not much else to say, except I hope our next bus is like that! Tomorrow is just a free day to explore Lima, and being their indepedance day, I hope we get to see all sorts!
