Cambodia visa:
Seriously easy. Just bring with you a passport photo and 20$. There is a cashpoint opposite the visa desk if you do forget cash though. Took literally 5minutes. I was given 3 forms to fill in at Bangkok airport (my transit place) - customs declaration, arrival/departure card and visa form. Just hand in your passport, visa form and photo at the left hand desk, them move over to the right. They will shout your name when it's done and you pick up you passport (with visa) and pay your $20 then continue through immigration. Easy.
Phnom Penh airport - town:
I took a tuk tuk. Slightly terrifying at first but you quickly get used to them! The traffic and road quality is mad! It's a standard $7 into town.
Tuk Tuks in town:
Most drivers tried to charge $3 but I heard $2 is more realistic. I can't barter and managed to get it to $2.50 so it's worth haggling!
Accommodation:
I stayed at the Mad Monkey and loved it. If you want peace and quiet it's probably not the place. As a solo female traveller it was fantastic. Great sociable rooftop bar, $1 beer happy hour, pool, good food, it was great. And they were very good at shutting the bar bang on time if you didn't want to carry on. Plenty of people were ready to take you for a decent night out. Top banana bar (another hostel) and house of darkness clubby sort of thing. Recommend if you're alone and want to meet people. Good dorms too. Aircon is always a godsend! It wasn't the cheapest at $7 a night, but worth it. Great start to my travels.
