Today we got up early and headed to the beach which is practically on our door step. The sun was shining and the weather was a scortcher.....until about 2.00pm and the clouds formulated above us.
We hired a moped ( sorry mum!!) you will be pleased to know we wore helmets! And dad you will be impressed to know that this saved us £££s a day in travel! ( mini industrious mouse)
At first I hated the moped and was clung to ryan like a little monkey, but I soon relaxed. Our first stop was the Namuang waterfall in the south of the island. It was a bit of trek up to the waterfall, rocks to climb and dodgy walk ways but we made it! The waterfall wasn't quite as impressive as the ones in khao yai but will still pretty and worth a few piccys! We took to the roads again and drove all the way around the island driving through the different towns to get a feel of where we were. During this time the heavens opened, it was quite refreshing!
That evening we went over to a restaurant called Jungle club, recommended to us by a friend. We had been told that the views from the restaurant were amazing . Again on the bike we hit the road, checking a map before we left! The road up to the Jungle Club was very steep and we were unsure the little bike would make it! Fortunately we did.
The views were amazing. We sat over looking ko samui in what can only be described as a tree house. We sat and ate our diner in large bin bags listening to chill out music , whilst checking out the wonderful surroundings!
After the jungle club we set off back to the hotel to drop the bike back and on to The Swing bar for the beach party and fire show! The fire show was very good with balls of fire and fireworks and juggling with fire! After a few cocktails we headed back to the hotel for the night!
