My month in Australia, has been amazing so different from Thailand but yet so incredible. Cairns was our first stop (me and scouse) rained pretty much all week. We went on so many great tours though which made up for the weather and we were in Oz so who can complain. We then moved on to the Whitsundays a group of islands that basically took my breath away. We stayed on a sailing boat call Habibi and met a lovely group of people. The sun was out which was really nice and i got a beautiful sailing tan. We then moved onto fraser island. This was a much different trip to the habibi sailing one. There was 10 of us in a 4 by 4 and we got to drive around fraser island. Which is a sand based island so u can imagine the fun we had. We camped out both nights and didn't shower for the two days. Boo, but it added to the experience.
Then we flew to Brisbane where we spent a night with Claire's aussie relatives (Amanda and Co). They looked after us very well and Amanda made a lovely dinner for us that evening.
I then flew to Sydney to meet James. Sydney is absolutely amazing and we had the best week. Monday we went to the Zoo and we saw lots of Aussie animals. Tuesday we went to Bondi beach. Wednesday we went to all the northen beaches including Palm beach where home and aways set. "Home and away...loving each day!!" We also learnt to surf at Manly Beach. James was very good he stood up tall. I fell lots but stood up also and i'm very proud of myself. Thursday we went on a tour of Sydney and saw some drunk lady on the floor and our tour guide took a photo which was very funny (u really would of had to of been there and saw the picture). Can't remember what we did Friday will come back to that one. Sat we went to the beach with the people in our hostel. It was a free BBQ, which was good and then we got a free drink from side bar. The perks of being a backpacker!! Sunday we made our last trip around the city and we ventured up to kings cross (the red light district of Sydney, where our original hostel had been booked!!). Not that great, an experience at the least. We made it back into Sydney in one piece and went to a free boat place. James got a picture in a wooden boat then i did (all our pictures are the same, either me or James in it, hehe).
Just spoke to James on msn and he can't remember Friday either, we have a missing day??? Scary stuff!!
Anyway back to Sunday we made it back safe and went to the pictures to watch ghost rider (good film, but nic cage and eva mendes are a miss matched couple tho).
We've remebered... Friday we walked over the Sydney harbour bridge and around old sydney, then watched the sun go down. How did we forget!!!
Monday was a sad and happy day at the same time. I said goodbye to James (I love u supaman) and met up with scouse to do the bridge climb, it rained but was incredible!!
Bits i missed out, most nights me and James went to Paddy Mcguires. Must go there if you're ever in Sydney, we loved it. (The writting has got bigger here??).
Then me and Scouse flew to Melbourne and here i am. Just been to the night market. Nothing on Thailands weekend market in Bangkok!!
Spk sn love u all and miss u babes and mum and dad and Lee P frog!!
