Woke up quite late today (the clocks went forward the final hour last night so we are now back to 8 hours behind UK). Thank goodness the sea was not as rough and the sun was shining! Yippee! Went for lunch as it was too late for breakfast and then went to have a look to see if there were any sun beds on Serenity - which there weren't - everyone had the same idea and wanted to catch a few rays on the last day of the cruise. We decided to go to the Lido deck and Gaz moved a couple of sun beds into the sunshine. Decided to have a dip in the pool - it was freezing! Talk about take your breath away! Flipping heck! After a few minutes swimming I felt much warmer or it might have been numb I wasn't sure, so we decided to get out and go in the hot tub - which wasn't too hot but much better than the pool! After this went and sunbathed for a while and Gaz bought a couple of ice cold beers which were welcome as it had got so hot.
After a while we went for a walk on the deck above the bridge, we then had an ice cream and decided to go back to Serenity to see if any chairs had become available. We managed to find two sun beds and walked over to the Serenity pool to sit on the edge. Saw Fran who came over for a chat and Gaz went for a swim. Sat chatting to Fran for well over an hour - she is such a lovely lady with a wicked sense of humour and she had me and Gaz in fits - I will really miss her after our cruise. Saw Joe her husband and he went off to lay in the sunshine.
Said our final goodbyes to Fran and Joe before heading back to our cabin to do the last bits of packing before we leave the Carnival Miracle tomorrow morning.
Sat on the balcony updating our blog and then it was really spooky - the fog/sea mist just swirled in and covered the sun and sea literally in seconds! We are not sure if that is because we have heard California is over 100 degree Fahrenheit and it is cooler out here at sea? Luckily it didn't last too long and went as soon as it had arrived and we were soon able to watch the very last sunset of this cruise.
Went for buffet dinner tonight as there was nothing we fancied on the restaurant menu. After dinner we went to the theatre and watched the end of the Legend show - people who have volunteered right at the beginning of the cruise performed as artists. The man portraying Dolly Parton was hilarious!
Went to the casino and blew $10 and then popped into Sam's Bar to sing along with Bistra for a final time.
