Waiting, waiting, waiting!
Still in derby, thinking about getting a job, starting to feel like a local. 4th night here, and now it looks like it might be another and then the weekend, nothing much will happen then and that will make it a week.
Derby is a nice town, the motel is modern and comfortable, the managers are very understanding and sympathetic and we have found a lot of nice cafés/restaurants. But you can wear out your welcome, who wants to have a heap of junk sitting in their car park. Tomorrow night they are expecting a bus load and there may not be enough room for us.
Derby has a population of 5000, it has a large, long wharf because of the huge tides which is u-shaped so when ships are loaded the trucks drive onto it from one side and off the other. It also has a long enclosed conveyor belt.
Bougainvillea, frangipani and boab trees abound and we saw a grandfather boab with bougainvillea growing up through it which looked like it was flowering, see photo of the day.
Catch ya later!

Trevor Brown HI Dennis and Gayle, certainly an exciting trip! Impressive boabs. Plenty of intersting things including, the insects, crocs and flippin trailers. Good you on the move again.
