"The long road home" - once we made our mind up to go home it was full on driving for three days and very tiring so the camper did not get opened again, we stayed in motels at Yass and Tooleybuc (great name hey!). Tooleybuc is on the river Murray in Victoria. It has a community club, with pokies, a golf course, Minnie golf, lawn bowls and the motel with swimming pool. The motel was very comfortable and pleasantly furnished overlooking the golf course and beyond to the river. It had a balcony where we enjoyed a celebratory wine in the late afternoon sun, not only because it was the last night of our journey but also to toast Dennis' 65th birthday. The old bloke has done well driving us around the country nearly 10,000 kilometres, and getting us out of some pretty precarious positions at times, thanks Den. We arrived home late afternoon on Wednesday. As we drove through the Adelaide hills we experienced the heaviest rainfall that we have seen on our trip and the coldest temperature. We saw some contrasts in terrain, vegetation and lifestyles in this great country and we will have many memories to treasure for a long time to come.
