Hi everyone!
Sitting in Hobart Airport now, just about to our flight back to Sydney, for a connection to Uluru (Ayers Rock) tomorrow morning...
Not much internet / text contact in Tasmania (Tassie) so theres just been this one blog update. So where do I start...
When we first got here, it was throwing it down with rain, and freezing cold. I was beginning to regret my choice of linen trousers, flip flops and hawaiian shirt. Nothing quite say "Tourist" like a ridiculous outfit.
We picking up our hire car, and after I first found out where the headlights and windscreen wiper (fast) setting was we set off...
Tasmania is mountainous, green, misty, sunny, sandy, swampy, cold, hot, empty and well catered for all in one island. Over the three days here the weather has got progressively better and hotter each day. We spent our anniversary day hiking over the hills to Wineglass bay (still in my flip flops...) for a classy picnic of wine and crisps on the beach.
While here we have driven up and down hills looking for devils, wombats, possums, quolls(?) and Unicorns. See photos to check our success with each of these made up animals.
Back here in the airport, Alisha was stopped and searched for Pepper Spray & bomb making materials. Apparently the next generation of Al-Queada terrorists sport blue and pink hair with yellow cut-offs,
Next stop Ayers Rock - scorching desert, lets see how the outfit fares there...
