Hello!! Well just want to wish Laura a happy birthday from the both of us! Anyway right now it's 9.47pm and we had a damn long journey. Basically in one day we were in 3 different countries, England, Miami *to which i played the miami song from will smith* and Costa rica. We were up for a straight 24hours. In the airport we had a strange man who said goodbye to us in a way that he had known us our entire life, like we waved to us from the queue from a considerable distance, so weird! Our long haul flight wasn't too bad except for this angry angry women who frankly looked like a bulldog and she kept getting raging at me when i needed to get past her. The view of Miami was gorgeous with miles and miles of white sandy beaches with several lagoons with boats and lush looking houses and pretty much 20star resorts to be seen! Amazing views, it was a shame we couldn't enter the country!
The queue for customs was insanely long and it took a full hour and a half to get past them! Many people were very friendly though and helped us along our way but by the time it got to waiting for our next flight i was just so tired that i fell asleep on the floor resting my head on the chair like a loser. Infact I'm pretty sure i heard someone shout out ''bloody lazy teenagers!"
When getting on the plane I sported a seriously fit look of a green travel pillow around my neck *see emma i am using it*, my hood up with a pair of dark sunglasses, and finished it up by tripping over several sleeping peoples feet. smooth. We then meet a lovely old man who had travelled loads and he helped us with various forms to fill in and he was raving about how great london was bless him!
The taxi was an adventure in itself though, this women lead us away and just left us standing like losers on the side and just said "wait here for car" which we did. 5 mins later and this guy rocked up and persuaded us to get in this rather suspicious looking taxi *but it was red and that colour as we realised later was safe*, and at this point ashleys comment on emilys wall came,or rather yelled, to mind. but as idiots we strode on in after being convinced it was the right car. It wasn't. He got so lost that he was STOPPING in full flowing traffic to ask a casual man at a bus stop for directions! Me and emily just looked at each other and gave a panicked look, and THEN he just stopped in the road, wound down his window and waved his arm around for this other guy in a car to stop and have a chat for directions! It was pretty scary cos you just heard yelling and beeping but we did manage to get to the frickening place. It's pretty cool but so awkward cos there were sleeping strangers dotted around on bunk beds. We went straighttt to sleep though.
sooo yeah! That was our first day and we are looking forward to just chilling for now and then making our way down to the beautiful carribean beaches of Costa Rica!
