Yesterday we traveled to Winton to see the dinosaur bones found on properties in Queensland. It was amazing to view these bones of our Australian dinosaurs which are millions of years old! During the museum visit, we had a blackout because of an incredible storm-it was a very dark and stormy afternoon which the kids enjoyed back at the van. They were wet and covered in mud which is not as much fun for us that do the cleaning! This morning was nice and we arrived in Longreach early so we checked in and went to the stockmans hall of fame. Unfortunately, the show was cancelled due to the mud and rain so we looked around and drove into town which is a gorgeous country town. We enjoyed pastries at the local bread shop and got some supplies then headed to the Qantas museum. It has lots of displays and memorabilia, including the airlines first 707 and also a 747 which looks amazing in the outback and was worth the visit. This afternoon, Jack, Isabelle, Lara, Isaac and Joshua hired the go-kart bikes and had a ball riding through huge puddles and mud all through the caravan park. It was the high light of their day! Tomorrow we are driving towards Augathella and St George then on to Moree. It is sad to say - the holiday is almost over and we are heading towards home.
