After a little over a week here in Fiij, we are setting off for yet another flight, this one to the last country on our list: the USA.
We left Mana earlier this week for the second stop of our Fiji tour at the lovely little paradise that is Malolo Island. It was quite a change from Mana, and definitely more of a proper resort as opposed to a slightly rustic backpackers. We had our own little swanky hut right on the beach nestled in between quite a few coconut trees and hammocks. Very picturesque. Our balcony/porch had an amazing view of the crystal blue sea and the few scattered islands around us. Not a bad sight to wake up to! The resort included an amazing all you can eat buffet, which we took thorough advantage of (after months of cooking god knows what and eating cheese sandwichs, it was a welcome treat!). So our days, very much like at Mana Island, consisted of reading in hammocks, sunbathing, more reading, general lazing about .. but slightly more adventurous with some snorkelling and a kayak trip to some nearby islands. I even managed to throw in a wakeboarding session. So all in all, I loved Malolo. Everyone is just so friendly, and its so easy to get used to the slow paced life. Theres no getting bored, just lazing about really, which suits me quite well! So all in all, I was rather sad to leave the island to return to the mainland this morning.
But we are heading to another country today, our last one of this trip! Its crazy how time is flying by. I have about 43 days left :(
But we do get to live the 12th of June twice, so that makes it a bit better!
