Hey everyone!
The S/V "Shambhala" and her mighty crew has finally arrivied to the final destinantion of their journey, namely Mooloolaba in Queensland, Australia.
The boat is destined to be anchored here and no more sailing is planned for her for the remainder of Ole G. and Eirik's stay aboard her, which will be until the 11th of december, so roughly two and a half weeks.
We had a 4-night sail down from Mackay and celebrated Eirik's birthday onboard with cake, baloon's and presents (pictures will come tomorrow(I forgot the USB-stick today)), so we all had a good time and Eirik most certainly had a memorable birthday celebration.
Now that the 750 nautical mile-long Queensland coast has been covered by sail and boat, we prepare for the second leg of our Australian expedition. This one will be covered by a campervan which we will hire from Brisbane on the morning of the 12th of december, which we will return the 7th of january on the other side of this great continent, namely Perth in Western Australia, a mere 6500km away...

We will be stopping in Surfer's Paradise, Sydney for Christmas with Kjersti and Steve, Melbourne, Adelaide for New-Year's Eve and ultimately touring W.A. in places like Kalgoorlie, Esperance, Albany and Margret River before arriving in Perth.
But for now and two weeks ahead, it's all about relaxing just a bit more on the boat and on the Mooloolaba beach and maybe doing some excursions around Moorychidore shire.
C'ya!
