The last morning waking up on a train, woohoo! We got into Ho Chi Minh around 6am in the morning and jumped into a taxi and headed towards our hotel. We were both socked at the amount of traffic in the city, taking a long time to get to the hotel.
The hotel was back on the same street as the one I stayed at on tour. This hotel was much nicer with a spa bath and a rooftop pool. When we arrived we dropped our bags and waited to be picked up on the bus for the tunnels. The driver missed us a few times before finally asking him if it was the tour and then we got on.
The bus took about an hour and a half and we had to stop at a shop, pretty much an expensive shop where they tried to get us to buy things. Evetnually we got to the tunnels and we did the tour. This time I was feeling much better. I even hoped into the tunnel, so small! At the tunnels, Ryan shot the machine gun. It went very quickly.
After the tunnels we checked into the hotel. We had a quick rest before getting into a taxi and heading to the taxi headquarters to pick up Amver's phone. No one spoke any english but in the end we got the phone back. I even had to sign a form saying that we wouldn't say anything about the taxi company. I found this strange considering they found the phone and gave it back.
After this we hoped in a taxi to a pub that was showing the Hawthorn vs Adelaide game. Ryan and I watched that and grabbed some Western Pub food, a chicken parma and a snitzel. After the game we walked to the tallest building in Ho Chi Minh on top of a shopping centre. We went up to one of the bars and had a drink looking over the city lights. It was a great way to end the holiday.
