Been a mixed couple of days here in Sydney, we've been searching for a car to drive South in but everyone is selling is asking ridiculous prices for 20 year old cars! They wanted $3,700 for a banger made in 1984! We've looked in the Kings Cross car market here and some of the dealers, but trusting any of these nefarious characters is something I wouldn't wish upon anyone!
Thankfully Kerry's cousin Keith back in Adelaide has been incredibly helpful for us and looks to have found us a 1996 model Ford Falcon 4 litre sedan back in Adelaide, for a bargain price, so it looks like we will be purchasing cheap flights back to Adelaide on Tuesday to pick the car up from there and change the direction of our adventure, which is no big deal. The fun in the adventure is the journey not just the destination ay?!
Apart from car hunting we've managed to get down to the Aquarium on Darling Harbour, which was far more impressive than we could have imagined! They have some really incredible animals on display in there including a Platypus, a Salt Water Crocodile, a HUGE shark encounter tunnel with some massive looking Grey Nursing Sharks and Sting Rays and we also checked out the Barrier Reef display which had lots of little Nemo's (Clown Fish) swimming around. If any of you are on holiday here in Sydney then we definitely recommend checking this place out!
Today we decided to de-stress and as it was a nice hot sunny day we caught the bus down to Bondi Beach and just lazed around in the sun with the other scantily clad bathers! It's a pretty impressive beach but did have a lot of poser types running across the sand with all their muscles bulging out everywhere, men and women! Also today we managed to get all our working visas sorted out which is a weight off our minds and means that we can now start working!
Hope that you are all well, update you all again soon, including some more pics when we get a chance.
