Hello again peeps!
Darren and Kerry again here on our rambling blog! Well we've had a pretty cool and relaxed couple of days to be honest. We left Canberra on the day that you read our last update and it tipped it down with rain again that afternoon so we stayed in a rest area just off the highway and slept in our car as we didn't fancy getting soaked in the tent. Rob surprised us by giving us a call on the phone and we spoke to him for a while and it was really good to hear his voice after being away from home for so long. He's planning to come and see us in New Zealand in June, which will be pretty cool!
Yesterday we chilled out in a little town called Kiama by the coast. It's a really pretty little town and Kerry and I quite fancied staying there to do some work but the bar there didn't have any vacancies as the holiday season in that area had come to an end. We spent the day chilling out on the beautiful beach there, reading our books and watching people surf the big waves coming in on the beach. Kerry got a pretty nasty sunburn on her bum again so we left the beach in the evening and headed up the road again staying in a rest area again off the highway. (We're proper gypsies, don't you know?!)
Today we're in a large town/city called Wollongong, which is 80km South of Sydney. We spent most of the day on the beach again and got interviewed about the facilities, by some people working for the local paper and had our picture taken so tomorrow we have to purchase the Mercury Newspaper as apparently our picture is going to be in there! This evening we're heading away from Wollongong towards the Blue Mountains to have a look around there tomorrow morning and then we're meeting up with Kerry's cousin David near Sydney for a drink and for a natter then the next day we head to Forster Bay and then Tamworth so that Kerry can get her fix of Country Music!
Hope everyone is cool back home, we miss you all loads and we'll update you all again soon!
