Byron is just amazing. I lvoe it! It's pretty small compared to Sydney but we had gorgeous weather and it was our first real experince of actual backpacking! Our backpackers was pretty cheap but we loved it. It had hammocks in the garden, was v clean, music playing in the evening and BBQs. It was about a 10 second walk from the main beach which was pretty secluded for the main beach as it was in a little cove and it was really green. We were only a 5 minute walk from the main street and their were gorgeous boutiques and food places. We went with Alex and Martha, two of Tor's friends and they were staying very close to us as well. It took about 14 hours to get there by train which was a bit hellish but in the end was SO worth it! We mainly explored or soaked up the sun in the day apart from when Tor and I took a trip to the famous lighthouse. We thought it was a short walk but it took us about 3 hours and half way there the heavens opened and we were climbing over sharp rocks. When we got up there it was probably one of the most amazing views i've ever seen though. We looked over all the beaches and the sky was so dramatic! It was beautiful. I can't wait to go to the blue mountains for the scenery now.
