This is our second full day in Gisborne, or maybe it's the the third? Yesterday we did a short ride- 50 some kilometers on a beautiful sunny day. Last night was our turn to cook - see photos. That's always a bit stressful for me but I think we did okay. Today we rode out to the Eastwood Hills Arboretum. A real showcase of the worlds most amazing trees and vegetation. Riding up robot was a challenge - very strong headwinds and one super long, steep hill! I realized how out of shape I really was as far as hill climbing was concerned. But we all made it up and enjoyed our lunch at the arboretum and then walked the trails for a couple of hours before the very fast ride back to Gisborne - downhill, tailwind.
I still find it hard to believe that I am
actually in New Zealand - its so beautiful. Someone pinch me.
