Vicki I did not realize you were going to be in Taiwan. We have a long time family friend who lives and teaches there. He loves the city and especially the night-life. Sounds like you have had a variety of weather. As you know, that can give you a whole different perspective on a city. I'll be curious to hear about people's reaction to the recent earthquakes in Japan. You have quite the journey ahead of you! Are you knitting? I just read a REALLy good book on India. It's very short and entertaining - perhaps you can get it on your Kindle. It's called The Mango Season. We're making our reservations for Cheyenne......look forward to seeing you there!
Barb Enjoyed reading of your adventures in Taipei....met a woman years ago from there and she told me about some of the places you mentioned, but have never had an opportunity to stop over and spend any time there. Enjoy your Pacific journey and get some rest cause I'm sure you're off somewhere not long after you get back to the US!!
John and Joyce Hello again you two intrepid travellers. So good to hear that you are still enjoying all the new sights and new experiences. I think you will need more that the duffel bag to get all your stuff back home!! Not long now and you will be " home ". We look forward to our own trip on the 26th. will contact you when we return end of July. Our love to you both.
John and Joyce Well. This is the last you will hear from us until we return from our own travels. It has been super to share your wonderful experiences. Thank you so much. Hope to see you in the not too distant future on your home ground!! Remember us to everyone in SD. Lots of love. J and J

re: Taipei, TaiwanSue Blass What a trip you all are having and the memories you are accumulating. You are going to places that few of us even know exist. I hope there is a chance for Ned and I to see some of your pictures. Home must be on your horizon.
re: Yunnan Province, ChinaJoyce and John Hi both. So enjoying following your adventures. You must be having the trip of your life! What an amazing experience in China - as we never think of China in that way. Continue to enjoy.
re: Yunnan Province, ChinaBarb Hey Clarice and Gary.....sounds like it was a good decision to join your friend and go to Zhongdian...aka Shangri-La! Know how cold it can get up there....happy the sun came out and you got to see the magnificent mountains. Will be anxious to hear more when we travel together again. Stay well.
re: Yunnan Province, ChinaBarb Yes, Clarice, Anghor Wat is truly amazing, isn't it? Was reminded of it when we were at Konark in India....almost too much to comprehend! Have a great time in Yunnan...hope you get to Lijiang...its a lovely city just a bit south of the place they call Shangri-la...also if its not too cold try to get up to Mosu lake area....remember it is being the most beautiful place we saw. Canit wait to hear about it!! (Judy and Marlene went there right after we returned from India!)
re: Saigon, VietnamNoel I agree with Vicki's assessment of Angor Wat. It's one of the most beautiful ruin I've seen. Wasn't the traffic horrendous in Saigon! Continue to enjoy.
