Monday night, sitting here waiting to go and catch the 10.00pm bus for the next adventure, arrive in the morning at Puno 5am catch another bus to the border & cross over to our next destination Bolivia.
Meanwhile I will tell you about my Machu Pichu trip, all I can say is if you ever get the chance you must go. It was breathtaking and emotional as I think I mentioned before. I must admit all the way there I still didnt believe it was actually going to happen. It had rained a lot so another mud slide could have changed it all. It was a 24 hour wonder catching seven buses and two trains, very excited atmosphere from everyone, because of the anticipation I guess.
It is very high up, can you belive that they built these places that we have trouble reaching today. As you can see by my feet I was level with the mountain. When the train gets to the bottom of the mountains you stay in a little town called Aguas Callentes its like a wild west town in the middle of nowhere, thats how I felt. It has a really fast river running through the middle of it, which you can hear all night. I think that was part of the problem why it had to close it overflowed, scary. A bus takes you winding up to the top of the mountains, views spectacular, & thats before get into machu.
I would have loved to have stayed longer but hey I done it. definetly worth staying on another 3 weeks for. Even though I did miss the party.
Feel sorry for you all when i get home can you imagine all the photos you are going to have to look at, only if you want to !!
Well my friends thats all about Cusco for now, I will miss certain things but it is time to move on. I hope I helped the children even if only a little, they certainly helped me I felt like Mother Teresa, they have so little, but are full of so much love.
Look forward to giving you my updates through Bolivia, if we ever get of the buses. xx
