Eggs and fried root vegetable was for breakfast - I am really feeling in touch with my natural side! Then a nice walk for an hour to the water hole. The swimming was fantastic! Jumping off rocks and sliding down natural slides. I managed to gain some bruises (always a fun momento). Getting taken out by the rapids and floating down stream was brilliant also!!
After a well deserved lunch it was time for another bush walk this time to learn about the plants and different rituals done by the village leader/doctor. It was so interesting and inspiring to realise how they rely so much on nature. We seem so uneducated in the potential of nature.
Gold panning was next on the agenda and we found some! Our village leader wrapped up what we found in a leaf and did a bow with a thin bit of root. I refuse to pay for gift wrapping from now on! So simple yet so clever.
After dinner we we shown a traditional leaving/goodbye ceremony as we are leaving early the next day... We all danced and drank and I was also the example for a doctor ritual which was another new experience to add to the mix!
