Dear all....still having probs finding place to upload photos!! Glad to be out of Seattle actually. I had overstayed my welcome there.....it was great as I had a good few last days with some cool people. I went to the Art Museum and an underground tour of Seattle. Oddly enough when the city was first built they built foundations using sawdust! So, needless to say they had to build on top of what was the original city! So, there is a vast network of underground passages that used to be the original city. I also went to an independent theatre production of Cloud 9....a play about gender roels. There was maybe about 20 people there, so it was kinda weird being part of the show??
I caught a train to Portland and found myself stuggling to find accommodation at 12 midnight! I eventually found a hotel and am now in the hostel. I am going to hire a car and drive to see Mt.St.Helen's volcano, but today I am going to explore and go to the Japanese Garden which is set in 500 acres of fantastic woodland. Autumn is setting in here and all the scenery is spectacular. Normality, work etc is the furthest thing form my mond at the moment. It is proving to be a struggle as it is only when you arrive at a city or place that you realise the shere vastness of it all. Everything that I read in a guidebook only seems to make sense once you have left a place! All is well, and I am afraid that I have to spend another night in Seattle before my flight on 2nd Nov to New York.....on a fina note it is Halloween weekend here i nthe USA and suffice to say everything is gonna be pretty crazy everywhere tonight.....oh and Chelsea won 6-0 against Man City!!!! Peace y'all....have a good weekend/week
