Hey all, have had busy couple of days. Did tour to Mt.St Helens....but with 21xgerman school kids on board!! The volcano erupted in 1980....and there was one guy who refused to leave and perished, also many people wouldn't evacuate as they did not believe that it was going to blow. The tour guide was a knowledgeable guy. I went to see a band in the vening but it as sold out. Portland is a very liberal place and extremely laid back. I met soem english guy and we are going to a hip hop gig tomorrow night. Today I have hired a car and driven up to Timberline Lodge, which was the setting for the external shots of Kubroick's The Shining. There was a fantastic view of Mt.Hood which is even more volatile and due to blow within the next 100 years scientists theorise! I then had lenghty conversation with a local policeman in this quaint town called Sandy who directed me to some picture postcard places to take some pictures. I drove through Salem, but there didn't seem to be much there and the sun was going down, so I headed on for Eugene, whcih is a college town. I am here for a few hours before I drive back to Portland so as I can have the car back!! Anyway, I have though long and hard whilst o nthis trip about many things. Conclusion/?? there isn't any!! I do know one thing......every human being should travel this globe. I do not have the words to describe the breathtaking scenery that is in this land!!! The US has it's faults like anywhere, but there are many things that make up for it. I am in love with travelling!!!!! Have a good rest of the week all......again, apologies for no photos! I have some awesome pictures but no where to upload and I want you sll to see them!! GGGRRRRR!!!! I keep using this excuse but I'm not joking....the US is set up for wireless and thats it!! Bye for now
