Did the rest of the walking tour during the day. Wanted to go to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum but found out that it was closed on Fridays and Mondays - it was one of the things that Manisha really wanted to see but as we were heading to Ha Long Bay the next day, she wouldn't be able to get to see it.
Walked to the temple of Literature - went through the streets of Hanoi that most people don't bother walking through, so ended up seeing a lot of the 'real' Hanoi which was nice. Spent a couple of hours wandering around the temple, was very nice and peaceful in amongst all of the craziness of Hanoi.
Headed to Koto for lunch, is another one of these training schools for disadvantaged kids to learn a skill. We had lovely food and some great drinks there. Chilled out in the bar upstairs, was really nice to sit for a while and just relax out of the heat.
Walked back to the old quater, had a look around some shops, found this really lovely shop that had a sale (we like sales) - found some nice dresses there but decided to come back there after our Ha Long bay trip.
Evening went for dinner, found a great sounding Indian in the Lonely Planet - went over to the street that it was on, and kept on looking around, but no luck, it didn't exist any more - it was now a very expensive Vietnamese restaurant. In the end we just found some where else to eat and had a nice meal.
