Well, what a week! Since my soggy adventures last weekend i hae mangaged to acheive a number of things. Firstly, just after my previous post i went walkingto Trafalgar falls (the tallest on the island)...in torential rain. I had set my sights on it tho so was determind to do the 45min hike and see the falls. what i hadn't planned for was, falling into the goddamn river, fully clothed, backpack, trainers and all...not that it really mattered. it was raining so much i was drenched thru anyway, but now i have some rather attractive grazed from ankle to knees which i'm guessing looks remarkably less-than-impressive on the wards. My second and much more remarkable adventure took me to the Boiling lake. I have photos which i will post at a later date, but basically it was a 8hour round trip hike up into the mountains (thru a number of valleys) to this lake that sits in the crater of one of the many volcanoes here on the island. It was huge, and looked like something out of pre-history. only thing was it absolutely STANK of rotten eggs. i literally thought i was going to vomit!
