From South Africa we flew North to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. We had a couple of days there before we joined a three week truck tour that would take us overland to Cape Town.
On our first night we'd booked ourselves into a dorm and Liz found a mouse under her pillow - she simply moved beds. A truely seasoned traveller!
We made the most of our time there. We visited the falls (of course) and got drentched as the water was at it's highest level for 10 years. Needless to say, the white water rafting was cancelled which was a real shame.
We also took a helecopter ride and went on a lion walk with some cubs, that looked pretty damned big to us and. We also took a sunset cruise on the Zambezi river, spotting some very hungry hippos along the way
Our 2nd night was spent in our new home - the tent - and got aquainted with the guys off our tour. Some had already been trucking-it for 5 weeks. All were very sociable and friendly and we ended up going out?for a few beers with them on our last night in Vic Falls, making sure we had spent all our Zim $s before we left - the exchange rate was 26,000 to the GBP, and we had no chance of exchanging them over the border!?
The next morning we left Vic Falls and travelled due West to Botswana
