The Second day in Stockholm was a day of exploration. I visited museums of national history. This museum was different then other ones I visited. They had wax sculptures of the soldiers and war scenes models dedicated to the ones who the war affected most, the soldiers, wives and children of the war. The museum started off in the prehistoric age and took me throughout the history of war with concentration of Sweden. The biggest emphasis was placed on World War 2 and Sweden’s role. There was also an exhibit on Swedish spies, but it was in Swedish so I understood very little. I really enjoyed that museum. I then made my way towards the royal reception hall. This is where many huge balls and banquets were held. I believe that it was here that the Nobel peace prize meeting was held in Sweden. The interior was closed which was too bad because there is a beautiful banquet hall inside made of blue marble. A must see sight says my guide book.
